Biography

Peter E. Sverd earned a Master of Arts Degree in Public Policy Analysis from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1999, and obtained his law degree from the St. John's University School of Law in 2002. He is admitted to practice law before the courts of New York, as well as the Eastern District of the Federal District Courts.

Prior to joining Miranda and Sokoloff, Mr. Sverd concentrated in municipal law and civil litigation. A former Suffolk County Assistant District Attorney, Mr. Sverd was honored with Outstanding Prosecutor while serving in the East End Bureau.

Mr. Sverd also serves as the Village Attorney and Village Prosecutor for the Incorporated Village of Poquott, in Suffolk County.
